specifically that as the Father had sent Him into the world, so He was sending His immediate followers and those who should believe on Him through them. They were sent into the world as He was. He came bearing the message of the kingdom and we are sent bearing the same message. It is part of the work of the Church to preach the gospel to those who are outside in order that they may be convinced and convicted of their sin, and that they may be led to a living, vital faith in our Lord and Saviour Jesus
